We are having a small festive celebration this morning.  Every one in the school today mush wear a traditional costume.  I remembered a brief but  warm conversation with a 3 years old Indian girl last week.

Children were coloring picture of a girl in a sari.  My conversation began when the little girl was coloring the picture.

Me   :  Do you have sari at home?

Girl  :  Yes.

Me   :  That is very nice.  Who bought you the sarree?

Girl  :  My daddy bought.

Me   :  Can I borrow your sari for the party next week?  (I asked jokingly)

Girl  :  I buy you a sari because you are a nice girl!

I’m so touched because the little girl has graded me as ‘nice girl’!!  That’s a credit from a child!  It’s motivating too!
