We joined another class this afternoon for a big group time. waiting for the parents to fetch the children from school.  I saw a little girl who seemed a bit lost as she didn’t know where to be seated.  Therefore, I called her and started chatting with her.  She is just 3 years old and a British.  She taught me a lesson today!

Girl   :  Is mummy coming?

Me    :  Yes, she’s on the way.  Would you like to go back with me?

Girl   :  Mummy is coming.  I love my mummy.

(Do you realize her way of rejecting is very friendly and nice, instead of just a “No” by majority children her age?)

Me    :  That’s very nice!

Girl   :  Mummy doesn’t drive.

Me    :  Then how does your mummy come to fetch you?

Girl   :  Jessy drives.

Me    :  Who is Jessy?

Girl   :  My friend.  Jessy is my friend.  I treasure all my friends!

After the brief conversation with the little girl, I have been thinking…how many of us treasure our friends?  When is the last time you meet/contact your friends?  Do you give a lot of excuses for not staying in touch with your friends?  It’s time for me to call or email my friends to say “hello”!  Her parents have been nurturing her morals very well!
