One of my girl (3.2 years old, Chinese) was still in school waiting for her mummy to pick her up. As our area will be used by afternoon activity, I asked her to take her bag so that we could move to our back area.
While trying to take her bag, she dropped her water bottle on the floor. So our rhyme started naturally…
Me : Why do you drop your water bottle on the floor?
She : Because I want to take it!
Me : Why do you want to take it?
She : Because I like to drink water from my bottle!
Me : Why do you like to drink water from it?
She : Because mummy bought me the bottle!
I asked her question in rhythm and surprisingly she answered me in the same rhythm too. See, how fast they can imitate us!
