I prepared some paints at the easel this morning so that children can do painting during their free choice time.  I love asking children what are they painting on their paper and most of the time they just quiet.  So, I always curious to find out what’s in their mind when they are painting.

One of my 3 years old girls is painting.  She moved her paint brush left-right, up-down and made circles.  She is so concentrated.  After few minutes, I went to interrupt her and asked, “What are you drawing my darling?”.

She didn’t even look at me, but starring at her paper and answered, “I don’t know.  Just painting!“.

I kept quiet.  Her answer is just direct and frank!  What a super child!
